Budget Castle Hire

Do not under any circumstances use this company unless you want to get ripped off!! This company was booked for my daughters wedding day a white bouncy castle for the kids to enjoy. We only had a one and a half hour time slot due to wedding breakfast and this was stated clearly at the time of booking. They arrived nearly an hour late saying they had had a bit of a day no apologies etc. they also had no generator which they had not said we needed so would have to run a long cable to set up, this would have meant the kids would have less than 15 minutes on the castle so I sent them away stating we would be asking for a refund which they said ok to at the time. My daughter was then directed to the owner who refused and said he would give her another castle free (like she’s going to get married again!). At some point the company paid £40 into my daughters account but they have avoided our calls and have not refunded the full amount of £230. Please do not get caught out by this company avoid at all costs.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Please do not book with this business and find another! I’m sadly not surprised to be writing this review, given all the recent complaints about Budget Castle Hire, but here we are. Ten minutes before they were due to arrive, I received a text asking what time the party was due to start as their van had broken down and they were apparently “sorting another one out.” That message alone tells you everything you need to know. I was promised a refund straight away but to no surprise, I'm still waiting for it, hours later. What they’re doing isn’t just unprofessional—it’s illegal. Taking money from parents and failing to deliver the goods, especially when it involves children’s birthday parties is cruel. They’re preying on families and ruining what should be joyful, memorable days. Thankfully, I’d preempted the possibility of a no-show, after reading these reviews and trying to contact Budget Castle Hire a few times over the last few weeks, with no avail, so I booked additional castles with Family Bounce (based in Colden Common). Thank goodness I did—because my soon-to-be 7-year-old actually got the birthday party he deserved, with bouncy castles that did turn up. I had 29 children to cater for, and I dread to think how I would’ve kept them entertained if I’d relied solely on Budget Castle Hire. If this review saves even one parent from going through the stress and disappointment we nearly faced, it’ll be worth it.

Really great bouncy castle - great communication. They helped advise on the best one for the space we had. Would definitely hire from them again, highly recommended!

Amazing service and really saved the day! When our original bouncy castle was cancelled last minute by another company, we called Budget Castle Hire and they came to the rescue!! Ashley was brilliant when he delivered the bouncy castle and spent time with my children explaining what he was doing! It made their day!! Thank you to both Dan and Ashley!! I highly recommend Budget Castle Hire!!

Should be 0 stars. Sept. 2025: Ordered, and then upgraded the package in the 2 weeks running up to the birthday party no problems over email. Then they cancelled on the day advising storm damage meant they couldn't access any of their softplay. I was advised a refund would be on its way, which I've still not received and my email communication is now being ignored. I'll have to dispute the payment with my bank now. Don't book!
